From the commit mail:
Add a port of the TTM and Radeon DRM code from Linux 3.8.13. Includes kernel modesetting, framebuffer console and support for newer hardware. Firmware needs to be present for acceleration and in some cases modesetting to work. It can be installed via fw_update or manually via pkg_add. With lots of help from kettenis@ some macppc bits from mpi@ and some ttm refcount/queue bits from FreeBSD. Thanks to M:Tier and the OpenBSD Foundation for sponsoring this work.

It's a blessing for my eyes, after working with Vesa for so long.

Aswesome. I can't wait to test on my 6310/AMD e350 and see what happens :)

And what about the HDMI output? I'll not even use it but, just to know ;)

the video over HDMI works fine. No audio, however.

One question, up to which models of AMD are supported by this commit?

Hi,
It works very well with an AMD 6470M and a 1900x600 resolution.
I've also tested with a Sun XVR-100 (radeon 7000 VE) on a Sun Blade 2000 and it works too.
Add to this that Firefox will work again on sparc64 in its version 24, OpenBSD 5.5 will be a very good millésime for sparc64 !

Do you know if it works with the HD6450? I consider to buy it only for OpenBSD.
