OpenSSH pow(2,3) Birthday Party at OpenCON 2007

Contributed by dwc on from the ssh-don't-tell-anyone-I'm-free dept.

OpenSSH recently turned 8, and at OpenCON we had a chance to celebrate. I was lucky enough to be there, and I thought I'd share some photos of the event.

Note that clicking on the images gets you large images of ~1.5MB each.

First, we all took buses to a restaurant for pizza. Though the servers worked non-stop bringing us beer they could not match our thirst ;-)

The OpenBeer.it guys did a great job with lots of help from Marc Balmer, who made very sure everyone knew the price of failure.

Fabio, mayhem and the OpenBeer.it crew brought out the birthday cake!

Peter N. M. Hansteen brought some advance copies of his new title The Book of PF which were signed by developers and auctioned off, with proceeds going to OpenBSD.

Theo introduced Darren Tucker, largely responsible for OpenSSH for the last 4 years. Theo gave Darren the well deserved honor of cutting the cake (after we woke him up.)

And there was much rejoicing...

I think you should reduce that to: "OpenSSH (1 << 3) Birthday Party at OpenCON 2007"
