The upcoming AsiaBSDCon 2007 (March 8th-11th, University of Tokyo) now has the time tables available. There's a nice mix of *BSD topics including OpenBSD presentations by some of our favorite characters.

I just picked up a pair for $759 from United, connecting through O'Hare. They're giving them away (but probably not for much longer, so if you're still on the fence, NOW's the time to get the tickets).
I'm planning on making a full trip out of this, so if anybody's down for some extra-conference sightseeing/dining/drinking beer out of vending machines/ninja fighting/whatever, keep me in the loop

It's pretty obviously based off of the photograph of the US flag being raised on Iwo Jima by US Marines during WWII, which is among the most iconic images in the US.
Which, to answer your question, is the photograph (actually, it's in color, so it's probably a still from the movie of the same) you refer to.

I'm not American or much into anything historical for that matter; pardon my ignorance in this respect.
Thank you very much for the clarification and insight into this. Very interesting!

I assumed that you weren't an American, thus the exposition :)
