OpenCON 2006 slides arriving

Contributed by deanna on from the we-like-slides dept.

The first set of slides from OpenCON, the OpenBSD conference happening this weekend in Venice, has been posted to the OpenBSD website. Marc Balmer's presentation, Support for GPS and Time Signal Station Receivers is worth a look for those who weren't able to attend. Keep an eye out for new additions, and if you are at OpenCON, send us a report!

I know which devices udcf supports (the Gude ADS Expert mouseCLOCK DCF77/HBG available from msys.ch)

Which NMEA devices do you use/recommend?

    Thanks,
    Alex.

All NMEA devices that use a tty (serial, USB, CF, PCCARD) work, I recommend to use a serial device with PPS signal, though. The PPS signal should be wired to the CTS or DCD input of the serial port.

Thanks Marc, once again good work!

          My line of thought was:
more sales are good for msys,
msys making more money is good for mbalmer,
a happy mbalmer is good for openbsd,
so more sales for msys are good for openbsd.

          Sorry if this offended you.

          Hack on.

I guess I need to fine someone now to buy me an EasyJet ticket to London and two or three nights in a decent hotel there so that I can hack on MSF support... ;)
