FontForge is an outline font editor that lets you create your own PostScript, TrueType, OpenType, CID-keyed, Multi-Master, CFF, SVG and bitmap (BDF) fonts, or edit existing ones. It also lets you convert one format to another. FontForge has support for many Macintosh font formats.
See http://fontforge.sourceforge.net/ for details on FontForge.

That's great -- you've to subscribe to their mailinglists to report bugs, else all you get is a "awaits approval" mail (which wasn't approved within two days).
