Now let's hope I'm not too far back in the queue (the orders are shipped FIFO, right?)... ;-)

1. Postoffice might be closed where UPS orders get out earlier in morning and later at night (they are open up to 21h, postoffice closes at 16h30)
2. Sometimes certain items are delaying orders, like a missing Tshirt that is scheduled to come back in stock
Oh yeah, ending up in the wrong stack is unfortunat but in the stress in getting out the door mistakes do happen.
This year, it's my intention to start shipping out > 1 kg stuff with UPS, it depends on in which zone you live (due to the tarif)

Even without the model it would be nice to have an updated version of the old wireframe daemon head though, I think a red one on a white shirt would be sweet.

That means there will be no reprints of Tshirts or hooded sweaters with the daemon head, sorry. All the remaining stock will be sold off (don't ask, all the hooded sweaters are long gone).
Hmm now that they've become limited, we should crank up those prices ;-)
Wim.

Good thing I bought one just a few weeks ago then. It's very nice.

Basically need to show Theo's talk on OpenBSD Hardening features. Best if kept in the OpenBSD theme of Blowfish if possible. The poster should be usable for multiple releases of the operating system.

mitigation techniques' implemented in the kernel. So instead of being immature and
calling me names, why didn't you just spend 5 mins and look at the talks that had slides.
Anyway, Theo sent me the link I posted when I asked him about the slides. I guess he's a jerk too, so I'm in good company ;)

There is no 'hardening' talk anyway
I figured that out before I posted my original message asking for a link. I know enough to do at least a little searching before asking a question in an OpenBSD forum.
You might be thinking about the talk on 'exploit mitigation techniques' implemented in the kernel
Pardon me for not knowing that when the original poster said "hardening," he really meant "exploit mitigation techniques." Clearly, I should have know that.
So instead of being immature and calling me names, why didn't you just spend 5 mins and look at the talks that had slides.
There are roughly 150 links from events.html. It'll take way more than five minutes to check if any of them concerns some type of hardening. And, even if I found something that looked right, maybe it wasn't what the original poster was referring too. So please don't waste my time posting a link that doesn't help me.
Anyway, Theo sent me the link I posted when I asked him about the slides. I guess he's a jerk too, so I'm in good company ;)
See? You thought I was calling you names, but, really, it was a compliment.
Here:
Thanks.

I did eventually find a copy of the CD set at J&R, but it makes me sad that I had to go through that. OpenBSD is largely sustained from sales of these t-shirts + cds and the donations that go with them, it'd be really nice if the store worked better than it does.
I really like openbsd, I like buying their cds, I like the stickers, but yeesh... Last time it was brought up on misc@ that I can remember, folks were lambasted for not buying a t-shirt with their cd set, when they reporting having their cd cases smashed and in some cases, the cds scratched. We can get the cds from some othe stores (after a while?) but the t-shirts and others seem hard to get.

I only say anything out of concern because of the number of folks reporting the issue, and that I was finally bit by it myself. I'll give it one last chance and preorder 3.7 though. With that fancypants new t-shirt :)

Let's see... I have, right behind my desk on the book shelf, the CDs for OpenBSD 2.6, 2.8, 2.9, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5. The CD box of 3.6 is on my desk.
Out of all of these releases, only the CD box of 3.0 was cracked when it arrived (the CDs themselves were OK). And the only release that was late was, if I remember well, OpenBSD 3.4. And that was due to a problem with the company that made the CDs, and not with the OpenBSD shop.
I have also ordered several T-Shirts and Polo Shirts. All of them were received with the CDs.
So, I'd rather order from the OpenBSD shop (either the Canadian or the European one) than from most Linux distributors. YMMV.

I don't mean that I gave up on the order before the actual release date. I wouldn't be nearly that stupid. I waited several months.
By Dormando (69.10.75.186) on
After I asked for the order to be officially cancelled, I trolled around the NYC J&R store until an employee dug up a 3.6 cd set from the back room for me (for my girlfriend, actually. she had much better luck getting their attention).

I was able to get in touch with them, after a few tries, and in three different occasions I was told that my package had been shipped, that no, it hadn't really been shipped, and finally, that yes, it had been shipped, but on a different date.
I do trust them, and I don't really want to blame them for absolutely anything, I'm sure they did their best. But that there's something fishy going on in the process of getting the packages delivered, oh well, there is...
By shirtless (67.22.181.182) shirtless@theneweys.org on
I won't be ordering anything again from OpenBSD sadly.
When I queryed the order I did get a response, to be fair, but
it was simply to say that my order had shipped. I
replied back asking for some details so that I could track
it but never got a reply to my second e-mail.
I also chose to pay extra shipping for the "express" shipping
option.
Oh well, good OS, poor order processing system!
