1000H uses Attansic L1E, not the L1.

FreeBSD's ale(4) supports L1E(AR8121) and L2E(AR8113/AR8114).

kevlo@ is also willing to port the L1E driver with a donation of the hardware:

It actually is quite exciting. This NIC is pretty popular on many
boards, including a few of mine. Up to now I've been using re(4)
adapters but now I can use the on-board one. Nice!

Isn't it, though? I'll admit, I'm more excited when they add a wireless driver than a wired one, but hardware working is generally a good thing.

AR5424 is present in some EEE and Acer netbooks. Any progress?

reyk@ has a business to run (and a phessler@ to manage ;), so I'm not sure what the status of that is. However, making out a check to "cash" and mailing it to him couldn't hurt :p

There're some quirks in linux driver's reset code not present in openbsd's. But I'm not a kernel developer, so it would be hard to find out what do we need.
