In a recent message to misc@ , Daniel Cid announced that the Portuguese OpenBSD community has put together some resources for native speakers. This includes mailing lists and a translated FAQ . Anything that's positive for the userbase is a good thing! Thanks, Daniel.

          Your write we should have have separate British and American mailing lists. While we're at it we can have separate Canadian, South African, and Australian lists as well. Wouldn't want anyone to not have there own rock to stand on.

            i'm not talking about mailing lists, i'm talking about countries. that post is about the brazilian community, not the portuguese one. it's the wrong country. of course, portuguese people should be welcome on that mailing list, since it's almost the same language, but that was not my point.

    Thanks to a pair of friends from Brazil (kriok and aloph) we are providing portuguese content too. The goal is to serve as a repository of information, with a special focus on Iberoamérica.

    We invite our Spanish and Portuguese Community to join us and team up together in this advocacy effort.

    WTF? Like that's Portugal or Brazil, right? Why did the Portugese need yet another language? Wasn't Spanish good enough? I mean, they are fairly closely related as languages go. Damn fine thing Port is, but alas the Portugese didn't invent it, the Brits did. Well, at least they were fine navigators and make some great tasting food.

      It's just because we are BRAZILIANS and not SPANISH. And as you might know, there is a BIG difference between the languages.
      And as it seems you DON'T know, we do much more than "some great tasting food".
