"As submitted on ports@, the Port Testing Guide is available on OpenBSD website.

This document is explaining how everybody can help porters to improving the ports tree."

This guide was written by two prolific porters with help from many other porters, including myself. It's a good guide that they are developing to help people who test ports as well as people who are looking for a way to help the project. Give it a look!

this is great for the porting process, maybe something should be added to describe a good way to test the port for proper operation. IE. Test it under various modes. Does it give expected results for standard tests (does your pot boil at 100C, so to speak) or how to test printing, or opeation under X.

there are so many variables, so few porters, but with some help, lots of us would be willing to test in a better way.
