Contributed by Dengue on from the in-case-your-other-apps-aren't-consuming-enough-RAM dept.

BSDi has announced Java 2 Standard Edition version 1.2 for BSD platforms. A version is currently available for BSDi 4.1, and support for FreeBSD is planned for the future.

With their recent purchase of Telenet Systems , and their merger with Walnut Creek and the FreeBSD project , BSDi is shaping up to be our newest 800lb gorilla.
