Update on the OpenSSH.org saga

Contributed by Dengue on from the ain't-it-funny? dept.

I've received word from Alex de Joode with his side of the story (after all, there are always two). You can find his response to the current debacle . On a positive note, it looks like this can be resolved pretty easily.

The word debacle describes the situation rather well. Can't we all just get along?

    from dictionary.com: debacle -
1.A sudden, disastrous collapse, downfall, or defeat; a rout.
    2.A total, often ludicrous failure.

Get in touch with the real world people.
You're building "just" tools ... nothing more, nothing less ....

But I admit, we do adore these tools ...

So stop these inbetween-tools intifadas and do something productive ...

It seems as if this is just a misunderstanding, that is still unsolved due to undiplomatic behaviour (most likely by Theo, who seems to be not the least diplomatic at all :-)

But, why would our friendly definitly-not-a-cyber-squatter demand that OpenSSH.com add links to other free ssh groups, as a prerequisit to handing over the domain? They already do.
