OpenBGPD at RIPE 50

Contributed by phessler on from the king-bula-uses-bgp dept.

Henning Brauer has been invited to give a presentation about OpenBGPD at RIPE 50. RIPE is the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) for distributing IP Addresses and AS numbers, runs K-root and performs related activities in Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia. Henning has slides from a similar talk he gave at DE-CIX last week. RIPE meetings are open to the public.

Open to the public is nice, but that doesn't mean it's free. It costs 400 (350) EUR for the full week or 125 EUR for one day (Source).

But I guess it is interesting nevertheless. Plus it's publicity for OpenBSD and its projects.

Wow, that is very cool. Sounds like people are really starting to take notice. Good luck with the presentation Henning!

Yeah it's to bad that it's so costy. Im a student and I really wanted to hear Hennings OpenBGPd talk but I can't afford 125 EUR just for that. They should have student discount :P

Yeah, if anybody of the swedish developers could decide a place and time with Henning (since he of course have no idea which pubs are good in Stockholm) and post it either or on misc@. I would really want to show up and swing a few beers and have a few good talks.
