Plaid Tongued Devils rock Europe

Contributed by Wim on from the dept.

The Plaid Tongued Devils are crossing Europe in their orange security van. Who you might ask? Have a look at http://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html for the credits of the OpenBSD songs & CD artwork, not to forget the Tshirts and posters. Ty Semaka and his collegues have been contributing their creative brain warps to OpenBSD since a long time and if you ever wondered how their Klezmer (traditional Jewish), Roma (Gypsy) and cabaret with rock, pop, jazz and ska music sounds, you can now see them live across Belgium, Netherlands and Italy over the next few weeks.

Tonight, they play Brugge, tomorrow Antwerp. More info to be found at http://www.thedevils.com/shows.html

I took a short break yesterday night from shipping (as the postoffice is closed on Saturday anyways...) and saw them in Rijkevorsel, I was so amused by their stage act that I'm surely going to see them tonight in Brugge, at

By the way, all European orders are shipped, last ones to be delivered to postoffice on Monday, going to deal with some special cases next week (you know who you are...). As a result, I'm offering a free drink to anybody who shows up at the Zanzibal Festival in the little village Lille in Belgium (NOT the French Lille!), only requirement is to wear an OpenBSD Tshirt and no bitching about delays in shipping ;-)

I guess it's too late to get one before the 22nd?

Damn, I missed out on the free beer! I was in a pub (de republiek) a little further down that same street. I wasn't wearing an OpenBSD shirt but my girlfriend was wearing the OpenBSD baby T-Shirt. Ah well, the Duvels and Gulden Draken will have to wait..

Well, I was there, but I didn't know who was playing :) The concert was ok, with some fun songs that really set the crowd in motion. But I've seen better there...
