Humor: theo.c Fortunes

Contributed by jose on from the laugh,-they're-funny-quips dept.

Andre Nathan has assembled the quips and quotes in theo.c into a dat file for fortune . The needed file for fortune can be found in the links in this mail from Andre . Installation should be pretty straightforward. Users of the mg editor (or people who follow CVS checkins) will recall that various quotes from Theo have been collected in the file theo.c. Now you don't have to use mg to receive them.

Don't encourage the boy, he's bad enough as it is.

It'll just make him become more arrogrant and childish. Theo should write more code and spend less time being arrogant.

Theo's more of a figurehead now than a coder. Kinda like RMS, he's always off on some fanatical crusade or another.

Yes, it's actually a real good indication that he's reading everything - good auditing.

Riiiiight. Theo still codes. Quite a bit. Theo also bathes on a regular basis (well, I can stand next to him without getting high off the fumes.)

this is funny. i actually enjoy theo the way he is. if he wasnt the way he is then we probably would not have such a great product at the end.

No, it's that. His product doesn't come from anatomical analgoies, but from understanding and caring about OSes. His mouth needs to grow up. He's in the public eye, not a high school locker room.

Yes, you enjoy now, until he tells you your brain needs fixing...

Yes, I saw that on the mailing list, and I could not from the original post see anything that could warrant such a response.

who cares how theo decides to express his feelings in speach. no matter who he pisses off it wont disturb my contributions or the openbsd product. as long openbsd keeps on its own tracks instead of following other leaders (which we all know theo would never do) i will be 100% supporter of openbsd and theo. Also, i wouldnt if he said it to me, my brain does need fixing :) maybe he is only telling you how it is. which is something you have to respect.

"We are not hackers. We are turd polishing craftsmen."

this should definitely be the official project motto, the man has a wicked talent for one-liners.

Before I started using OpenBSD I was curious about the NetBSD vs. Theo issue. I read many messages from both sides. I got the feeling that I missed something from the conversation that the NetBSD folks said, so I sided with Theo. After having worked with Theo I now know that I didn't miss anything. He is abusive and seems to think that everyone has evil intentions. I hope that "Arrogance comes before ruin." for Theo, so that he will open his eyes and see what a jerk he is.
